The National Park  is nearby for your enjoyment.

Cómpeta is a walkers paradise, with easy walks around the village and neighbouring villages.
Or for the serious walkers, the ranges of the Sierras and National Park.
Ponies and horses can be hired locally and trekking firms operate from the village.

Cómpeta is a white-washed steep village nestling on the side of the mountain surrounded by vineyard and
olive groves, with a beautiful plaza at the heart of the village.
The magnificent Church of Our Lady dominates the plaza - its clock tower chiming out the time from 8am til midnight!

It is still common to see working mules and horses in the streets and even spot baby goats being fed in cellars with a bottle!
